Right. New house, thinking about a 1200ltr tank buried in the garden . The rainwater is fed via a filter to it and then when required is pumped to toilets, washing machine. Any body any experience of this? And also how much water does the "average" person use in a day?

    Cheers

Rainwater generally isn't clean enough for washing machines, but is fine for toilets. Is there the ability to have the tank at a higher level, so you won't need a pump?

The recommended storage for 1 day is 220 litres, most of which goes with the flush.

Is water from dehumidifiers clean enough to use for anything other than toilets ?

I imagine water from dehumidifiers and air conditioning should only be drained, not even used for toilets, because of the risk of Legionaires disease.

Thought that Legionaires disease was only if the water was under pressure like in a commercial system on more than one floor.
