Wondering if anyone's read this, or anything else from this guy? Sounds good, might see if I can pick this up.

Still haven't got the last of the Nights Dawn Trilogy yet... frown.gif
Alastair Reynolds has created a wonderful book. A space-opera of truly huge
proportions. The book can drag in places, but overall the plot keeps you
going. This has everything you want from an SF novel, it has science, epic
scope, great characterisation, dawn of time civilisations, big guns, great
ships, and an ending worthy of Clarke. The style reminds me of Iain M.
Banks at times, with some similar sort of views of how society will shape
itself, blending the artificial with the organic. However Reynolds does
have a flair all of his own. Definitely an author to look out for.

    Al.
