Problem with Windows XP repeatedly corrupting bootsector

    Hi,

I'm having a very frustrating problem with a fresh installation of Windows XP Pro (SP2) on a Samsung 160GB drive. Every time I shut down the computer and then start it up again. I get this error message:
"DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

If I put in my XP CD, go to the recovery console and use fixboot, I write a new boot sector and the next tiome the system starts up normally.

Anyone got any ideas on how to tackle this?

False alarm - it was a dodgy IDE Ribbon Cable. Its been replaced by an older, more robust, slower ATA33 ribbon cable until I get to a shop during the week.
