First off congrats to Phantom! It's pretty rare that these type of things go to the people who deserve them ....

    Secondly,

Large Mound, The Dudley Corporation and Yakuza are all playing Crawdaddy on Wednesday November 17th. Doors 8pm. Admission €8. Hope some of you come along ....

This will be the last Mound and Corpo gigs with current line-up for some time as our Mark (who plays in both bands) is moving to Canada for a year at the end of November. So we'll all be giving it socks.

Here's some press blurb about the new Large Mound album, Go Forth And Amplify ...

“Large Mound’s follow-up to their glorious debut Raised on Rock has a much bigger more ambitious sound, but their priorities are still firmly in place. Mixing melodic pop and harmonies with full-on rock, Large Mound are in irresistible form”.
    Sunday Tribune 15/08/04

“..impeccable grasp of pop hooks ensures that even when the sludge of proto-metal is swilling beneath the listener’s chin, Go Forth is seldom bereft of direction. .. coyly lovelorn and brimming with melodies. As sweet and beguiling as a schoolyard crush”
    Irish Times 27/08/04 (4/5 Stars)

“The Dublin-based Large Mound is another gang of true rockers. .. one day they will be looked upon as one of the best Irish rock bands of their time. … Go Forth and Amplify is a tender and poignant manifestation of the metal dream”
    Irish Examiner 08/04

“On Go Forth and Amplify we hear Large Mound’s almost poetic dedication to metal, their complete absence of cock-rockisms and their nifty handle on melody. Topped off with the classic teenage rocker photography, this is a damn near perfect artefact”
Foggy Notions Magazine, Issue 4 (4/5 stars)

Would love to go this but I'm afraid I can't.
    Hope it goes well.
