Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody know any Irish map reference sites?

There used to be one associated with the IOL.ie portal that allowed you zoom in on an address and then showed you an aerial photograph of the property as you zoomed in. Any ideas on the URL?

ViaMichelin.com is one. They do maps and routes.

Multimap.com is another one that looks pretty good

ImageAtlas might be of interest, though it's not a MapQuest-style service.

It used to be interactive2.iol.ie/maps/ as far as I know.

You can still get the aerial photos through myhome.ie (in the Dublin city area, at least). Pick a house for sale near where you want to see, click on 'Map this location' and zoom/scroll to where you want. We had fun (for some definition of fun) ages ago trying to work out when the photos were taken (from cars outside houses, shops, nearby extensions and new estates ie houses for sale where the aerial photo only shows a grassy field).

Anywhere you can get cheap, accurate GPS devices, by the same token? (One of the things I'd love to see added to mobile phones...)

Don't worry, George Bush is having it installed.

I use the Journey Planner at http://www.dto.ie.

    http://www.myhome.ie works in Cork too.

Yesh, a friend of mine has one that plugs into his mobile phone, but he's a total technogeek and a professional GIS guy. I think he said it cost hime about €150.

I couldn't find the make and model though, but here's an example anyway.
