Some nob has been doing the same on Slashdot recently as well; Stephen King, for example (and quotes like "is survived by wife Tabatha....", etc., . I've got to admit the internet has done wonders for the idiots of the world: there is so many goddamn news sites and news channels on TV that people are really skeptical and so don't believe it (I think). Then again I wonder if it's the people that would believe it are the sort of people who *don't* frequent BBSs, IRC or weblogs. Sort of defeats the purpose when you know everyone looks at the URL first (I know I do).
