trying to open up port to use sharezara!!!!

    I just got my free trial of broadband with Eircom (yay)...

    The download speed is just great but I'm having no luck with sharezara.

    It operates on port 6346 but it seems that the modem which I got from eircom (a netopia cayman 3341) is blocking pretty much every port!

    I've went onto the netopia GUI and have tried messing around with a "Pinhole Configuration" area which goes something like this:

    Pinhole name : .......(which you assign yourself)
    Protocol select: ......(which I left at tcp)
    External port start: ....(I have it at 6346 like sharezara uses)
    External port end: .....(have it at 6346)
    Internal IP address.......(the usual.....I didn't touch that section)
    Internal port.....(I have that at 6346 too).


    I have no other firewall running....I'm certain.

    Anyone else have this problem? Any help would be great.

    here you have to put in the ip address that the router has assigned to your pc
    bring up a command prompt and type ip config to find it
