Free HL2 Vouchers?

Last year lots of graphic card manufacters issues a voucher for a free copy of HL2. Has anyone used one of these to claim their copy of the game yet?

seemingly you enter the voucher code on the valve website/steam website and get a bronze package but you can upgrade! (sorry if you know this already:))

I know feck all about it to be honest. Id forgotten I even had a voucher and just stumbled accross it this morning while looking for my keys lol. Whats the bronze version?

Yeah ive done it. Just download Steam, input the key on the back, and get ready for the biggest download of your life. You'll be able to play CS: Source right away once its down.

You get Half Life 2 and Counter Strike source. in the Bronze pacakge.

WTF are the differences between the versions? I ordered it from play.com, £45 reduced to £30.... I assume it'll work as a game.

Bronze (standard): HL2 + CS:Source
Silver: HL2 + CS:Source, DOD:SOURCE, HL:SOURCE
Gold: Every Valve game, and a hat, t-shirt,poster, soundtrack etc etc,

Yep, retail version contains HL2 and CS: S only.

Silver includes their entire back catalogue also. Gold gives you extra merchandise but no extra software.

I used one of the vouchers I got with a new video card and as discussed got HL2 downloaded and also got to play CS:Source (very good too). Hopefully HL2 gets unlocked on the 16th of this month. Mind you it took about 40 hours or more to donload on 512k Eircom line.

Managed to find the voucher after much searching. It says on the Steam Faqs to register the ATI CDKey with a Steam account. How do i do that? I don't see an option on my Steam to register a CDKey

took me about 6hrs to download the preload the other day

then this morning i woke up to

"connecting to steam....unlocking game files............................you can now play HL2"

yes!!! easssy i was on the verge of soddin ripping the voucher up as its a complete messing around actually trying to get a retail boxed version off them with a card
