Just saw Tony on Sky , Skipping down the lawn of the White House singing

    "I've got no strings
    To hold me down
To make me fret, or make me frown
    I had strings
    But now I'm free
There are no strings on me

    Hi-ho the me-ri-o
That's the only way to go
I want the world to know
    Nothing ever worries me "

To be fair - its a bit late to back out now and he has the hardest job in the world. Imagine how he feels when he leaves that place - "jesus christ i'm not paid enough, can i book another bypass please, i'm going to need another one this side of 2008"

Having lived in england betwenn sept 02 and june 04 i can say i actually dont mind tony blair. He gets a lot of abuse but he was such a difficult position. I guess he should have said no at the start but hey, hindsight is fantastic.
