Do they exsist? i work for eBay and i just saw an auction for a snuff film (i'm not gonna post a link as i'll be banned from boards forever)...

anyway, the seller posted some pretty graphic photo's that look pretty damn real!! made me feel pretty sick and i can usually take **** like that...

anyone have any opinions on this, ever seen one?

by the way i've forwarded on the item number to another department to get it removed from the site, so don't go gettin any idea's!!

I downloaded an episode of a cartoon from Kazaa. When I opened it there was pretty nasty things going on. Deleted it straight away.

No idea if it was real or not, didn't hang around to check it out.

there are some questions that are better left unanswered and this is definitely one of them. Why do you want to know? Will it do anything but drop your view of humanity and it's amazing capacity to harm and destroy itself?

In short, seen as you want an answer, the answer is yes they do exist. As long as there are people who have a sickening fascination with pain and suffering there will be an unscrupulous person who will seek to make money from it.

All you have to look at is the children for sale in places like vietnam and cambodia to know that these things are out there, for myself I prefer not to think about things like this, because I'm not in a position to do anything to stop it.

Fair play for reporting it though, whether it's real or not is irrelevant, even if it's fake it's increasing desire for the real thing

A film depicting a person being murdered or killed on camera is not a snuff film as it was not made to titillate or entertain the viewer. Making a genuine snuff film would be a very risky proposition as it would itself be evidence of a crime.

There have been numerous films made which are purported to be actual snuff films. The most notorious of these is the Guinea Pig series of movies from Japan. The second in the series, The Flower of Flesh and Blood, received notoriety in the West after Charlie Sheen reportedly saw the film playing at a bachelor party and alerted the FBI. The FBI launched an investigation into it and contacted the Japanese police who were also investigating the movie. The film is nothing more than a depiction of a young woman being mutilated and dismembered but with EXTREMELY realistic special effects. The DVD includes a making-of documentary which removes any doubt the film is real. You can even buy the entire Guinea Pig series on Amazon now.

Some of the more notorious video nasties have also been accused of being real snuff films. These include the film Snuff itself, a cheap exploitation movie that tacked a poorly-staged 'real' murder onto an unrelated film. The horror flicks Cannibal Ferox and Cannibal Holocaust both have been touted as films with gruesome special effects touted as real on-screen murders, a fact not helped by both films explicit (and very real) animal mutilation and death.

There was a case of a German couple (I think they were German) that took it upon themselves to devour one of the people of the couple. Afaik they videocamerad the act of a slow death/feeding session/s.

Surely this would be construed as snuff? I would imagine that it hasn't been released (heh) but what if another such couple in the world did such an act and Kazaa'd it?

What about the " Faces Of Death " Series ? Surely they are snuff ? Real people being murdered etc etc on camera for the viewers entertainment... or does it only count if the person that is filming is the one who does the killing ?

What about them? The people weren't killed to make an entertaining film, they just happened to be filmed at the time of their death. The fact that people find their death to be entertaining does not make it a snuff film.

Snuff films would probably exist. I wouldnt be surprised. Ive seen some quite disgusting and weird things on the internet so a snuff movie wouldnt surprise me at all. Though I cant say Id go off and watch it.

plenty of video out there of people being killed, but afaik, nothing of anyone being killed just to make a film. although i'm sure someone somehwere has their own private little archive, i doubt the rest of the world will ever (or would want to) see it.

considering some of the stuff thats already out there it wouldnt surprise me in the least if these things do exist. no reason why they wouldnt.

The first official case happened in germany where one girl escaped and they found tapes of the other being killed in a porno movie. The body was also found. They're real, don't get this urban myth thing, if it's been thought of it's been done. Can't find linky cos I don't want to get fired.

The other guy had agree'd to be eaten though so it wasnt exactly murder.
