Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok so I never really believed you could just get a free IPod just for getting some mates to sign up to a newsletter.

But seeing something on the news recently showing people actually WITH their brand new free IPods made me doubt my own doubts.

Do people really get free IPods from these sites? (Btw yeh i know with the ones i've seen you have to be a US citizen so don't go pointing that out)

They are just pyramid schemes and like any pyramid scheme, if you get in early enough you probably will get an iPod(in this case) However they grow exponentially and exhaust the population rapidly so it's probably already too late to bother signing up.

Wired had an article a while back about a site that seems genuine. Basically you sign up for a few promotions and get a few others to do the same and then the iPod is payed for by the advertisers. Generally though as Fletch points out they're just dodgy pyramid schemes.
