I've just heard Deltron 3030's album and following on from seeing the roots live, I am having to revise my opinion of hip hop. It looks like all the best rap at the moment is underground, so can anyone recomend good hip hop albums to get started on?

Blackalicious - Nia & Blazing Arrow
Immortal Technique - Revolutionary Vol .2
Jurassic 5 -J5 EP & Power In Numbers & Quality Control
Mos Def and Talib Kweli - Blackstar
Mr.Lif - I Phantom
RJD2 - Dead Ringer

These are some other acts you should enjoy, they are all quality albums
Theres plenty ive left out aswell im sure others will have more suggections for you

You should pick up all The Roots albums aswell, Things Fall Apart and Phrenology are prob my favourite
