    actually healio there is another problem.

    The posts from the cookoos nest dont get added to the total post count i dont think, but they do have post ids so god only knows who got the 2 millionth post.

    I assumed that the figure was around 2097000 because of the cuckoo's nest, deleted posts, private ones, the prison ones and all that but it does kinda add up my way!!

    They are added to the database, so they count. They just don't add to a users post count.

    Anyway, how exactly do ye want to define the two millionth post? In the database we have:
    mysql> select count(*) from post where dateline < 1100651100;

| count(*) |
+----------+
|  1999999 |
+----------+
1 row in set (3.66 sec)

mysql> select postid from post  where dateline  = 1100651100;
+---------+
| postid  |
+---------+
| 2089483 |
+---------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

    As you can see, the counters don't match the number of posts in the database because we keep deleted threads and posts and some counters don't get updated correctly from time to time.

    Let's try a different query:
    mysql> select count(*) from post where visible = 1 and dateline < 1100660102;

+----------+
|  1999999 |
+----------+
1 row in set (15.61 sec)

mysql> select postid from post where visible = 1 and dateline = 1100660102;
+---------+

    Well, as we all were going from the stat on the index page, it must have occured on 18-11-2004, 23:39. Anything outside of that time isnt the 2 millionth post, occording to mien eyes.

    the posts from Prision don't go down as been posts on private post counts I'm sure you'll get a couple of hundred there.

    yes but as someonepointed out earlier they are still stored in the database which would add up to the big number at the bottom of the forum index. I could be wrong on this so I wait to be corrected.
