Just wondering about this because I was in my local video store today and what do i see but a whole stall devoted to pr0n that wasnt there last week. Mostly jenna jameson videos, had a look at the back of a dvd and what do i see but a big c--k in jenna's ***. Maybe my video store which is rather big has decided just to make some money of this stuff.

Very likely that's a screenshot from the hardcore version of the movie, whereas the video store's copy is merely softcore.

Yeah I'd say you'd be very dissapointed if you got your grubby hands on one and shaking got it in the VCR and then saw a slydice special version!

No, hardcore porn isn't so much illegal is it's just that the Irish censor would never pass it. Anything that would get an R18 rating in the UK (their hardcore porn certificate) would be banned here by the censor. Even porn flicks with an 18 cert in the UK get banned here occasionally.

There is a video store in Walkinstown that had 3 binders behind the counter, which you had to ask for and hot-damn, twas all pr0n in all dodgy colour glory

I presume you mean download off the net rather than get it posted to you, cos if Customs find you importing porn into the country you'll have some explaining to do...

i know that when one mate of mine was in holland a few years back he sent a bag of hash seeds to another mate back home. One day the mate at home answered his door to find a customs official and a garda outside the door with the envelope with the seeds addressed to him. They asked him if he want to accept delivery of it. he said no.

Well they did pass 9 Songs , uncut, with an 18s cert. Unless I'm very much mistaken it just about (sarcasm) fits into the hardcore bracket!

aye! A friend of mine (seriously!) bought 2 DVD's for €60 each in a place in Dublin and I then pointed out the exact same DVD's in the net for €20 each. I get the impression shops in Dublin will charge what they like because of the stigma attached to Porn in Ireland.

I once ordered a DVD boxset off dvdboxoffice.com (shower of bastards by the way... don't ever use them!!!) and I was waiting months for the thing.. so I got on to dvdboxoffice and they said it had most likely been stopped by customs... So I rang up the customs office and asked about whether they had stopped any deliveries to me or not... and one of the first questions they asked me was if it was pornographic... I was quite proud that on this occasion I was able to say no...

In the end it was more a case of dvdboxoffice lying about having sent the thing at all...

and the moral of the story is dvdboxoffice.com are a shower of bastards who just like to rip people off...

Hardcore R18 videos are on sale in town but at lunatic prices, dont think they are illegal here. Hardcore Channels from Europe (not to be confused with the soft stuff on skydigital) are also legal here once you obtain the correct viewing card etc.
