When I open up MS Word 2000, every time, it comes up with a pre typed document.

How do I get it back to just opening a blank document?

Not my machine, someone elses.. never had this problem. It's like a template but couldn't find it in my rushed look at the settings.

    thanx

    look for normal.dot
its the template that ms word uses when it opens a new file.
You can just delete it and word will re create a new one when you open it again.
To be in the safe side move it to another folder.
