when i was 17 it wasnt all that hard to get into pubs and clubs. it's only been the last few years #(last 3) that it's become a major issue.
furthermore, clubs are sh*t. so why bother. some pubs are good thou.

Jumping to conclusions I think. If my birthday was this week then I would have only been 17 for 6 weeks of first year.

However, this is not the case and so you did jump to the right conclusions. I was infact 17 for most of first year. But I never encountered a problem getting in anywhere, nor did it have any negative impact on my social life.
