I'll be looking at houses with a view to buy over the next couple of months and need somebody to do the surveying for me. Anybody in boards land do this or know somebody who does this? PM me if you do.

What do you need done? Structural survey for bank? Snag list? Valuation?

It should cost about €300 for a snag list, but you get what you pay for (i.e. be wary of going cheap). Valuations and structural surveys would cost more.

There are different types of people depending on your needs.

Can't recommend anyone straight off (but see below). But try http://www.scs.ie/ASP/searchmembpub.asp and http://www.iavi.ie/about/bymember.asp. Also try www.riai.ie (architect) and www.iei.ie (engineer).

I'm a quantity surveyor. If it's a snag list, I might be able to do it. PM me if you want and we can discuss it.
