To Do lists - Database

Im shaking as im typing after reading the rules of this thread! Anyway here goes. Anybody know of or have a programme that can deal with a to do list. What im talking about is a db or something like it where as tasks come into the office that they can be appointed to staff members and you can see the progress on how a task…

Probably not the right forum, but anyhow. The free version I don't think has the ability to assign users to tasks, but I keep seeing this app called 'Tasks' appearing on freshmeat every couple of weeks.
