Was on an aerlingus flight on friday - they have changed the announcement to 'Laser Controlled electronic devices may be used midflight but not during take off and landing'. Happily listened to my Zen all the way across :D

But strangley enough on the return flight they did the old announcement - so I would guess its either still in the progress of getting around to everybody, possibilty being left to the discresion of individual pilots - or sheer confusion is reigning :D

Incidentally I've never been on an Aer Lingus flight where they havent enforced the mobile ban...they always jump on the tannoy the minute they hear a mobile go off

Ah, but do they search out the offending passenger and have then charged with endangering the flight? smile.gif

I forgot to turn of my mobile today on the way home from Denmark. There was a text message waiting for me in Dublin welcoming me to the Vodafone UK network!
