Bailieborough. Forgive me is another hole as well, especially the bailey  The people that own the lakeside. Pure greedy bastards. The house they've built, ****ing awesome, american style. Next time you're passing, it's on the right past the factory on the kells side. It's down a field about 50 metres. American style. No wonder they have such a house with pints being €5

Don't worry, I'm not from Bailieborough thank god. I never go near the place unless I have to.

Yeah, I know. The prices for drinks is the Manor is ridiculous, which is why I always try to sneak in my own bottle JD or whatever. I won't have to worry about that any more because I'm never going to it again. Cavan town and Carrickmacross (although full of boggers) are far better places to go anyway.

Cavan town is a kip in all honesty. Lived in the town for many years following my childhood exile from the big smoke,to which Ive now returned(ironically,I did so around the time that 50% of Cavans resident population now hails from Dublin,or so it would seem). Club OTO reminds me of the old youth discos in terms of the decor. Dirty oul carpets, the fact that the side walls down that dark corner are actually made of hastily put up wood, the bouncers are tougher than prison guards, place is a dirty lookin dump in all fairness. People only go there because
    1-Its easy to pull
    2-The free passes
3-The drink is cheaper than the Imperial
I far rather the imperial, but any cheap kunts I know usually want to go to OTO seein as its free with the passes,so more often than not i end up there. Cavan is one of the roughest towns in Ireland if you ask me,you always want to be ready to throw a box after the joints shut at 2am incase some eejit tries it on with you. For all the hype,Id regard Dublin city centre at that time 10 times safer than Cavan town. In Cavan, yiv got a pile of drunk pikeys, underagers, residents of Granard, and general scumbags who werent allowed in because of previous bans, hanging round the streets waiting on whoever theyre after.

The Imperial, now theres a lovely spot. Unfortunately the 10 euro admission, the 5 quid single vodka and dashes and the close on 5 quid pints in the nightclub are a bastard, but it really is a lovely lookin nightclub. The trick to gettin in there kids is to hole up in the downstairs bar before the bouncers get on the doors. At midnight simply walk in up the stairs, and walk past them normally as you leave. Repeat frequently and theyll assume after seeing you leave the place several nights that you have shown them real ID at some stage, and yil no longer have to wait downstairs, just walk past them casually with a hello as they open the door for you next time(worked for me in my younger days)
That McMahons is great too,was in a few weeks ago,the percentage of savage women was sky high. Theyre lettin anyone in there too,so get in kids before the cops tell them to tighten up. Really is a deadly place though, and yet it looks so tiny from the outside

As for the debate of "youth disco with alcohol" that nightclub in Ballyconnell wins hands down:D Lees aint it?

Its amazing reading this,Id know one or two of the names mentioned/hinted. Flyinfishmonkey, which band member are you? I would know of most of yis(and who doesnt know of Shapes lol). Whats your name Annette? I know some people from your neck of the woods(lets face it,Drumlane truly is the woods. Belturbet is sort of a civillisation outpost). I used to frequent the shoes quite semi regularly back in the day, what with the ease of gettin in with fake ID back then, but the general opinion is that the DJs there got a bit sh1te in their output earlier this year(i think the one they had before, who was deadly, was replaced)so tbh nowadays I could take it or leave it,aint been in a while.

Ah Cavan. It wasnt the worst place to live.

Too true Gopher,as I said before its the Longford influence that makes us
do it. When they come in all hell breaks loose.

This is why all of people from my area go to Longford, the Manor or the Springs at the weekends. Not because its any better, but all the bad Longford influences go to Cavan to wreck the place. I know this because I know a lot of the Longford lads who do it, and they'll tell ya that's all they go to do.

you've managed to sum up cavan to a T there.

You even mentioned Lee's! Now that is a kip, and an underage one at that.

May i ask what takes you down this neck of the woods at all?

It's shapin up like theres enough on here for a Cavan beers, although i refuse to go out in cavan town due to it being a kip, the pikeys, the price of drink and ppl i don't want to see EVER again! :D:D:D
