Gamesoc?

do ye have any sort of computer gaming society?
We are looking to get colleges interested in intersoc gaming events.....
Like CS or quake3 or something like that.

Don't they do that sort of thing? Friend of mine is in it and tells me they have all nite LAN parties or something. You know, rent out an internet caf from 10pm til 8am. Stay up all nite playin computer games I imagine.. Don't they have a ps2 in the gamers room or somethin?

Gamers play all types of games except Computer games. Netsoc and Ducc run lan parties in net cafes as you said.

Gamers specialise in rpgs and other weird forms of merriment.

I was aware of their specialisation in rpg et al... but I thought they seem to be into comp games aswell. I've played tekken up there before and they seemed to have a rakeload of games.. Also iirc they organised this lan party..

Gamers arrange lan nights with netsoc. Ducs do virtually nothing in the computer gaming department.

In fact this year el presidente of Gamers has been arranging allot of gaming nights. We've had three already and its only week 7. Last year there where about 2.

Gamers play all types of games ...
and untill recently had a ps2 in the room.
there is a debate as to what should replace it...


but yeah gamers mostly specialises in "hobby" gaming.

Wargames, rpgs, ccgs, larps, boardgames and so on.
I guess thats what you ment by weird forms of merriment.
