Access to IOL Newsgroups & Ripwave Modem

    I am able to send and received email from IOL...But cannot access IOL newsgroup via outlook express ...Any help appreciate

    You might have the wrong settings.
    The outgoing mail server for IOLBB is mail.iol.ie

    Could also be that your ports are blocked.
    POP and SMTP are 25 and 110.

    mail.iol.ie settings are ok its the newsgoups server i am having a problem. Thanks for your quick reply

    Haha sorry i read it wrong. My bad.
    The newsgroup server is news.iol.ie
    Hope it helps.

    Also this is only applicable on IOLBB.
    If you are on another provider you need to contact them for their mail server.
