the INS is pure research, cept for those lecture theatres. from talking to David Abrahamson it would seem 2 out of 4 of those are being exclusively used by comp sci and comp eng, while 1 other is in the common pool. dunno about the fourth. really hoping they move a lot of the CS lectures there, museum to hamilton is a tad bit awkward

5min walk?? that must be one slow walk! cant believe you guys think the museum building to hammo is a long walk...now the arts block is a different story...

there appear to be cs labs dotted around the place for students from what i saw when i was floating around... so who knows ye undergrads might get to use the upper floors a bit

*shrug* the head of the department spent a good few minutes stressing "undergrads will benefit very VERY little out of this" - i think the main cs benefit is getting out of places like Oriel house etc.

7 of 9 and her nanoprobes (what were they called) were cool.

someone would get an incurable disease and the nanoprobes would save the day. star trek was so cool.

Oh, and kev? "7 of 5"!? What were you smoking!? (it also makes no sense.) I've never watched an episode of Star Trek and even I know that it's "7 of 9"...

Sounds like some fetish terminology that us "norms" wouldn't be able to cope with

Rolling on the ground trying to pin/choke/limb-lock eachother I figured kev would came in and explained that but he's obviously far to embarrassed..

i twice wanted to reply just saying a*al but i thought it would be too weird.

limplock is misleading dec. only locks on the elbow. oh yeah strangle as well. that's enough judo talk.

Nah. I'm just bitter that i was a junior when i did Judo, and never got to do all the fun stuff like arm locks and legs locks and choke-holds..

Also, it DID sound a LITTLE dubious..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

i thought i cleared this up. no leg locks.
