    Do it

The crusade to immortalise unknown, Ronnie O'Brien, is moving to a
    newlevel....
Read on & do your bit for Ronnie & your country....again!
Remember the young Irish player we all voted for in the Juventus
    Newcomer
Awards, well, Muttonhead Des Cahill had the following article in the
    Evening
    Herald last week, i.e.Muttonhead DC:
" I mentioned a few weeks ago how a lot of Irish people got
involved in a patriotic e-mail campaign to vote for young Bray lad,
Ronnie O'Brien, as the most promising newcomer at Juventus.
Ronnie, who was released by Middlesboro last year, was getting
no votes on the Juventus web site, so thousands of Irish people e-mailed

each other urging them to click onto the Italian club's web site and
vote for him.Within days Ronnie had become Juventus' most promising
    newcomer.
The club got wise to it however, and stopped the voting on the English
language version of their web page. But the vote remained open on the
Italian web page and the Irish lads spotted it , so the e-mails went
around the country again and the voting continued - in Italian.
Now Colm Cullen has e-mailed me with details of the latest
campaign. It's even more bizarre, but so cheeky that I absolutely love
it. Colm writes..... 'Due to the phenominal (sic) success to date of
Irish footballing legend, Ronnie O'Brien, I'm sure you'll agree with me
that he deserves a mention in the chronicles of the late 20th century.
Such a forum exists: Time magazine bring out an issue at the start of
every year with the person who is voted to have made the greatest
contribution to humanity the previous year. As this year sees out both
    the
century and the millenium, they have a site for the person of the
    century'
For those of you who would like see Ronnie O'Brien honoured, the site
    is.. http://www.pathfinder.com/time/time100/poc/century.html
Point to note . I've entered his name as Ronnie O'Brien . So in order
for Ronnie to earn this accolade, use the same spelling.
Ronnie is up against stiff opposition as the current top 20 is a Who's
Who of sociological impact.Current top 20:1. Yitzhak Rabin2. Elvis
    Presley
    3. Billy Graham4. Adolf Hitler5. Albert Einstein6. Pope John Paul II
    7. Martin Luther King8. Gandhi9. Ronald Reagan10. John Lennon11. Henry
    Ford
    12. Mother Teresa13. Winston Churchill14. Madonna15. Linus Torvalds
    16. Bill Gates17. Pope Paul VI18. Nelson Mandella19. princess Di-ed
    20. Saddam Hussein "

Hey lads - Why don't we start our own little campaign for one of the Quake boys like Cloud or something. We could get him in there with Elvis, Ghandi etc.
