windows xp not going back to login screen

Hey all, My fathers computer using windows xp always went back to the login screen (sort of) when he didnt use it for a few minutes, but recently (and inexplicably) it stopped doing that. Does anyone know how to change this back? I haven't even looked at the computer since it happened and I don't know in what state its in…

Hey all,

My fathers computer using windows xp always went back to the login screen (sort of) when he didnt use it for a few minutes, but recently (and inexplicably) it stopped doing that. Does anyone know how to change this back?

I haven't even looked at the computer since it happened and I don't know in what state its in so I can't provide any further detail (in fact I hate xp so I dont even use it at all).

from the screensaver ?

right click , screen saver settings , youll see a display welcome screen box.... check it / uncheck it ...

Right-Click on Desktop

Go to Properties
Select Screen Saver
Tick On Resume, password protect
Set screensaver timeout.
OK
