    Hmm, I got my phone in like 2000, crappy 5110, gave it to my mam and then she had it up until recently when she bought a new one.
    My cousin had a big bastard of mobile, i remember she got it like in 91 or something, jesus, it was a joke.

    My first phone was a big lump of an NEC phone on 088.. long gone now, Thank God !

    My uncles office number has 666 in it - his mobile has 666 in it - and his wifes has 666 in it - oddly enough, none of them were requested.

    the 088s were cool. you get yourself a bearcat 200 channel scanner, tune it to 800MHz and you could hear all the calls

    those days are gone now though:(

    you would be surprised how many people used their 088s to call sex lines.



    I remember listening in one night to a woman arranging a trieste with her beau... I was with a couple of mates. One of them went white and walked away... turned out it was his married sister...dangers of 088!!


    I've had my number in 088 and 087 forms since 1993.

    Yeah I had that one too... I was the first girl/teenager in my estate to have my own mobile phone, that was around the time the ready to go came out... xmas 1998 if my memory serves me.. The rest of the kids followed suit closely behind me.. God they didnt even have text messaging on them and the coverage was sh*t :p

    i remember my 1st a nokia 2110 the phone was sh*t hot at the time.

    as i think my da got it out of a back of a lorry or a low flying aircraft.

    my da had a car phone in the early to mid 90's on 088... when it changed over to 087 it was 25xxxxx..

    I got a ready to go phone in 1998 and i still have the number...
