Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It was good to see that not only did McGeady get his game, but that he played well and was given a role in midfield where he obviously can do a job. If McGeady can now hopefully get a good run out of games, he should get enough experience to warrant a place in the Ireland team.

Maloney is a great player, btw.

Mind you, this was against Falkirk.

While McGeady played well yesterday (got MOTM), I think yesterday proved he is not a winger. A winger can beat his man, run with the ball and cross it in. McGeady can beat 10 men, run with the ball but can't cross it in. He has no problem crossing when the ball is dead but he is no good at crossing while on the run.

He created space and passed to Camara to set up both goals and scored the other. The end product is there but he could be setting up twice as much in a more central position. Strachan told him to drift inside more in the 2nd half and he did that.

Strachan played Camara on the right wing in training before to get used to what the winger is thinking when coming up against the full back. I think playing McGeady in the holding role for a few sessions would do him the world of good. He'd get used to playing it simple and being in the thick of the action. When the match was coming to the end he was making a lot more short passes which is good to see as he usually wants to beat someone every time he's on the ball.

Strachan is the best man to sort him out though. He made a profit on about 20 players in his 5 years at Coventry and that is because he gets the best out of them.

There's a good few Cork City fans who want to see this guy fail so it is really making me want to see him become superb.

Yeah it was great to see McGeady have a good game. I hope now that he can keep it up and get a good run in the side. I think thats all he really needs is a decent run to get his confidence and morale back up and yesterdays game will have done him no harm at all.

Congrats to Hartson on his 100 goals as well.

Why would Cork City fans want to see a potential Ireland International player fail?. I only ask because I really don't know.

Well I'm only going on what I read on the net. 1 reason is because he plays for Celtic. Almost every Cork fan that writes on internet forums hates Celtic. Maybe another reason is because he's not actually Irish. Also another definite reason is because he was taking Liam Kearney's place on the left wing in the U21's when they felt Kearney should be in there.
