Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Backup Exec 9.1

How do you tell it to append a job to the tape you've just used ?
    append time set to none

I'm backing up Live Data and Historical Data. Sometimes the tape gets full and so a verify won't run / uses another tape. I want to change it to backup the Live Data and then verify it and Afterwards append the Historical Data to that tape - if it all fits on one tape happy days, if not then I have a verified Live Data backup and other tapes to pull the Historical Data from. But it keeps recognising the Live Data job as being the newest tape and appends to the oldest tape. Which is a pain because the retention time on that tape now makes it the newest tape and so the next backup won't use it.

I can schedule an inverntory , but don't want to because there is the risk of a tape jamming ! - can I schecule a scan so backup exec will realise there is an "unknown tape" in the drive and then it will only inventory until it finds the first usable one (it's a way to bypass the always use oldest one first)
