Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Thursday November 10th at Traffic.

Alden Tyrell - LIVE [Clone / Viewlexx - Rotterdam]
    Alan Carbery [Electric City]
    Simon Conway [electricity]

    Admission - e10 / e8 members

Returning to rock the club with a live set this Thursday is one of the
heavyweights of the Dutch electro[nix] scene, Mr. Alden Tyrell. His
performance in the Metropolitan for us last year was without a doubt one of
the best (some say *the* best) live sets we have had at Electric City. With
Mister Tyrell exploding the beats and his chanteuse girlfriend rocking the
vocoder, this is a dynamite show for all electro freaks. Alden Tyrell has
been playing all across Europe over the past 12 months including show
stealing performances at Fabric (with the Egyptian Lover) and with I-F and
Fred Ventura at the Lowlands and C-B-S parties. His 'Disco Lunar Module'
track was one of the biggest tracks of the past year with Lindstrom & Prins
Thomas lining up to remix it and he has tracks on the latest Clone
compilation 'Box Jams'. It's going to be another disco fuelled night of
    electro madness at Electric City.

He first came to our attention with a killer deep electro cut track on the
Shop E.P. released on Rotterdam's Clone Records and then we sussed that he
was also one of the members of the electronix act, E.O.G. who have put out
some of the most sublime leftfield beats on the DUB [Djak-Up Bitch] label.
His star continued moving to wards the ascendancy with the amazing
scene-defining track 'Love Explosion' - combining the stellar high octane
disco legacy of people such as Giorgio Moroder, Bobby Orlando & Patrick
Cowley with ultra modern production sensibilities, this track has knocked
out dancefloors worldwide since it's release on I-F's Viewlexx imprint. This
was followed by gems such as 'Knockers', 'Disco Lunar Module' and 'Phaze Me'
and a killer remix of one of this years standout tracks 'Body Dub' by Unit
    4. Tyrell's tracks have been picked up for Mix CD releases by the likes of
The Hacker, I-F, Dave Clarke & Dr. Lektroluv and he has worked alongside I-F
and Intergalactic Gary of the Parallax corporation to remix Jolly Music
track 'Radio Jolly'. Other names he has released under include Ardathbey,
Visitor from Another Meaning and Partisan Midi. Tyrell is one of the major
forces in the whole electro scene through his disco leanings to the deep
harder-edged tracks of Partisan Midi, he is a regular at events such as Body
to Body and Culture Club and his tracks are heavily spun by the likes of
I-F, Glimmer Twins, Dr. Lektroluv, Lindstrom, Ivan Smagghe, Tiga, Trevor
Jackson, Morgan Geist, Dave Clarke and many many more.

Opening up this evening's musical soiree will be EC resident Simon Conway
with some Italo and Chicago jams and following him will be the long-awaited
return to EC of Aikido GrandMaster BladeRunner DJ Alan Carbery - a massive
fan of the sounds of Mister Tyrell he will be rocking out a range of classic
italo and electro to tee up the Love Explosion!
