    Right, bit of an update...

Decided to mount the pumps vertically(for now  ) took me a while to line up the res's n pumps so that the inlet/outlets line up but i have it sorted..

Been working on a bracket to mount the pumps, made from alu i got n B&Q....
    dsc01689medium8mn.jpg
Bracket to mount pumps, looks dodge will be hidden anyway but i'll prob make up a new, cleaner one...

    dsc01690medium7sg.jpg
Cover, this surrounds the mount n base of pumps..

    dsc01687medium9vh.jpg
    Cover in place..

Will be using velcro to mount everything as it allows me to make any minor adjustments and it'll absorb an vibrations...

Now the inside of my case is gonna be black... Should i have everything black or should i polish up the pump cover and my HD cooler???

    dsc01696small7up.jpg
    Before polishing...

    dsc01695small2jv.jpg
    After...

Difference is huge, what ye think???

also, just found my old HL/CS cd's.... Think i'll play it through again :p:p

I say polish a few bits. You can never go wrong with nice shiny things :D

true ;-) they will look black if thers enough black in it, shiny black ;-) also remember to spray it or the alu will tarnish again

Right, finished the mount for the pump(kinda)...
    dsc01699medium3hv.jpg

    dsc01703medium7fa.jpg

    dsc01704medium3hu.jpg

Gonna try n get a piece of Alu that is the perfect width... Either way im not fin polishing it.. Have a proper polishing kit on the way to convert my bench grinder.. Will come in handy, espec when i go to polish the HD cooler...

Next..... emm.. Im not sure, tidy up the inside of the case, reinforce it n get it ready for paint i suppose....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,828 ✭✭✭unklerosco

Right, put the pumps n mount in the case and with the extra width i cant get the res's n pumps to line up :wallbash: :wallbash: .... Stared at the case for about 10mins n came up with this..

    dsc01634medium5dy.jpg

Basically, take out the rail n move it up so that the res's sit just under the rad, this gives me an extra couple of inches to play with.. Will make a huge difference as i'll be able to flex the tubing allot more....

Also, i may be able to use the center inlets with them mounted like this, wont know till its done...

    What u think???

Right, i've a WC setup thats too big for my case... Either i buy another case(the extended version) or i bin the idea of 2 seperate loops....

I like the second idea as it doesnt cost me anything :)

Plan, sell the 2 pumps n 1 plexi top, buy a DDC-1Plus... WC just the GFX n CPU using 1/2" tubing.. Will have to sort out something for the NB..

Everything will fit, 3 less fans, 1 less pump, less noise, finished quicker... Then i can start another project...

    dsc02222medium4gl.jpg
Just to show how polished it is, practiacally mirror like.. Takes ages but its worth it..
