Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Some announcer was calling all the players names out one by one to get a cheer. Every player mentioned got a big cheer. The guy then goes "and lets not forget the manager Guus Hiddink"but when Hiddenks name was called I could have sworn I detected a lot of booing as well as cheering from the crowd. Is he not universally loved out there atm? It'd be weird if so considering he's just got them to the WC for the first time in 32 years.

    not sure about that, but I thought Viduka got a luke-warm reception at best.... deffo a few boos ...whats the story there?

    I doubt there will be highlights so soon after the match. Im sure if you ask eirebhoy later he will somehow magically come up with some highlights for you.

    Great to see the Aussies qualify. They were all going absolutely nuts when Aloisi scored. I can see myself following the Aussies throughout the tournament now

    Where are you getting this from? The aussies love there soccer and prem games are screened live over there every weekend. Well in Perth at least. The whole wouldnt have gone absolutley nuts if they werent big soccer fans

    Soccer is third most popular sport in Ireland and our national league doesnt get anywhere near an average of 5,200. Do we not know anything about soccer?
