Just a quick question. I want to port my vodafone number to 3. It says they will contact me to verify ownership of the number. How is this done? Do they ring the vodafone number or do they contact your landline or 3 phone? Thanks 007

You fill in an authorisation form (comes with the handset) and this allows them to contact Vodafone/o2/Meteor to verify ownership. I don't know what happens if it is an unregistered prepaid 'phone.

The phone is in my brothers name, same address. Should that matter? I has been using the number for ages.
