Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    bout 30 pairs...
you're meant to vary your footwaer, it's really bad for your back to wear the same shoes all the time.

That's true, but I don't think you need to wear a different pair for each day of the month

it's to do with the arches of you're feet and stuff... like some one who wears the lieks of Converse the whole time will get Fallen Arches cuz the shoes are so flat and offer no support... I don't know how to explain it fully sorry!

Surely the lesson then is not to wear crap shoes that don't give you good support.

I'll wear the same footwear for about 3 years and then if I feel it's started to wear out I'll buy a new pair.

I certainly have no foot or back problems... and I walk to and from work every day.

you get the probs later in life... I dunno, a big sportsy woman told me, she owns a sports shop and specialises in footwear, think she used to be a runner of summit...

Well - to be honest, a good pair of shoes should provide all the support you need. Its not surprising that someone who sells footwear advises you to buy lots of shoes....

I have 2 pairs of runners, "orienteering shoes", a pair of boots, a pair of shoes and another pair of shoes that I don't wear.

She didn't, we were actually discussing the supposrt levels of skate shoes compared to specific trainers, like for basket ball, cross country etc, and she started getting on to me cuz I wear my DC's so much, and so began the lecture

Ah - but you won't need to do this with real shoes.

See, I have a pair of docs that are actually more comfortable than being in bare feet. They were a bitch to break in, but it was worth it!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 261 ✭✭Reaver772

One pair of steel toe capped leather boots.
    One pair of runners.
    Don't need anything else.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 507 ✭✭✭RPGGAMER

i have one pair of shoes for squatting, one for wearing and one for the farmers walk. 3 altogether. if i had my way i would go barefoot. its so liberating.
