    Any chance we could make two new stickys one with aftercare advice and information and one for under 18s telling them "where" they can get pierced and tattooed?

    Well considering aftercare varies with each piercing and different methods it wouldn't work out too well. Also making a thread with advice for under 18's to get pierced wouldn't be very responsible.

    Ag marbh i think you need to check your sarcasm meter it appears to be malfunctioning please note the where is in brackets, twas meant to imply a sticky that say "if your under 18 you can't get pierced anywhere please stop posting threads asking where" or something similar. As for the aftercare aftercare is pretty standard for most piercings and if anything is going seriously wrong you shouldn't really be posting here where no one can inspect it instead of going back to your piercer.

    Bedlam: maybe it could be left open for people to post their queries then. I know it says it in the charter but if you look at the people who post such requests they generally have under 50 postcount and i doubt they have read the charter. so maybe if we had something stickied with a title like "piercers who'll pierce under 18 no age of consents required" then repeated whats in the charter they might take heed

    yup, i think the aftercare is a good idea.
    Instead of having new threads all the time, poeple with any queries could post there.

    There are plenty of piercings that good piercers will do before the age of 18, so it would be wrong to say one cannot be properly pierced before that age.

    Well, thats very true.
    I've been getting pierced since I was 12, by a very a couple of very professional piercers and I'm still 2 months short of 18..and all my piercings are perfect.
    But I happen to know the piercers who have pierced me, won't do much without parental consent.I just got lucky.
    And I think the general point being made, that most piercers who do, pierce people underage aren't overly professional.but it's true, that it's still possible to get pierced properly if you're not 18...it's just hard without consent.But people can definitly get a fair amount of piercings, when they're 16 without consent...but I guess it just depends on what you want.

    There are plenty of piercings that reputable piercers will carry out before the age of 18 and there are some that they wont.

    Im all for the After care sticky so if someone wants to do it up Ill sticky it.

    As for the under 18s one--Not a hope..Id prefer if each post was dealt with individually solely because as a few of you have mentioned there are piercings that are under 18s friendly.

    Im of the opinion that no reputable piercer should carry out any type of "extreme" piercing on anyone under 16 and some types pf piercings should be preferably 18+.

    The reason that its in the charter is because of the amount of what I will only describe as "kids" looking to get piercings done when its obvious from their posts that they are not mature enough to start getting pierced.

    Quote from the charter "Most piercing are over 18s although there are a few that are 16 with parental consent.If you are 13 and want a piercing done then these boards are not the place to ask."
