Usually when I'm feeling down I listen to pretty upbeat stuff to try and cheer me up... so that would be
    Sonata Arctica - Reckoning Night
Blind Guardian - Tales From The Twilight World
    Dragonforce - Sonic Firestorm
Hammerfall - Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken

When Pigheads feeling blue and he needs some cheering up he'll generally turn to Suedes Coming Up as a source of comfort.2 minutes into Trash and everythings ok again.
Who Killed The Zutons also tends to do the trick.

It depends what kind of upset. If im feeling really sad I will listen to 'Your song' from d moulin rouge soundtrack or the goo goo dolls 'iris' that sorta ting,

Most times when Im upset im tryin not to be sad so I go for angry instead. Alanis Morrisstte or Marylin Manson up full blast usually does it for me

Journey - Any Way You Want It

Yeah John Mayer for me too....especially "your body is a wonderland" brings me back to the best seduction i have ever experienced...makes me smile while I cry!

Stone Roses "She Bangs the Drums" helps me give the fingers to whoever has upset me "Kiss me where the sun dont shine, the past was yours but the future's mine, you're all out of time" always makes me feel better.

    Nice choice.

Personally, the song I love listening to when I'm down is "A New Level" by Pantera. The whole album (Vulgar Display of Power) actually is great for getting you out of a bad mood.

Hubastank... although theres only really one good song on the album  much to my dismay.. But I love that song (The Reason)

Guns n Roses'll fairly send you over the edge if you're lookin to feel sorry for yourself aswell...

Hmmm Bette Midler I like too, few old tear jerkers on her album.. (The Rose always sets me off)

I don't know the album, but that song makes me feel like I could eat broken glass and still be smiling.
