Eircom BB and Draytek Vigor 2600

Does anyone use a Draytek Vigor 2600 series DSL-router with Eircom broadband? This thing doesn't want to sync while the provided Netopia DSL-modem syncs in a matter of seconds. Is the DSL modulation in IE the same as in the UK?
