wiring external pir security light

    Hi,

    Does this have to be wired into the lighting ring - or can i just throw a plug on the end and plug into the mains ?

    ( due to ease of feeding mains cable via airbrick into box room for mains plug access.)

    Instead of putting a plug on it connect it to a switched fused spur and put a 10amp fuse in the spur.

    Safe enough once the fuse rating is low enough

    Make sure to get a pet proof PIR, they dont detect anything under 30kg, because cats and dogs will drive you mad if you dont:

    Lights on ( ahhh i am being robbed )
    (just a cat )
    Lights on ( ahhh ) ........... and so one
