Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BBC Don't Watch That Comedy

By accident rather than by design I happened to tune into
BBC4 TV channel late yesterday evening (10.30/11pm) and
saw this excellent comic sketch show which uses very
clever TV dubbing to take the major p*** out of
    politicians mainly. It is called
    "Don't Watch That. What this".

Excellent sketches last night including a really vintage clip
of Delia Smith preparing an old "English Classic" consisting
of 4 mars bars in a deep fat frier. Very cleverly switching
the camera between the old vintage clip where I guess
she was making Lancashire Hotpot or suchlike and a gross
and sorry looking melted mars bar concoction with grease
dripping all over it. They also did a spoof of Tony Blair
having been laid off in the early 80's and working as the
town cabbie in his constituency area of Sedgefield.
George Bush appeared on the old "What's my line" TV
show where a bunch of guests including the late Kenneth
Williams tried to guess who he was and what his job was.

I found a link to the BBC website with some clips.
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles/d/dontwatchthat_999050113.shtml

I can't recommend this show highly enough.
The laughter lines are still etched into my face this morning!

Hmm, I might look out for that next week. I seldom watch anything on BBC4.

BBC 4 is one of the few channels I might pay to have (if I had to). Taped this prog laast night so I'll check it out later.

I watched it last night. Ok of a programme. Bit of a "one trick pony" though I thought. Don't think I'll watch it again.
(As for BBC4 I too would pay for it if it was the only way to get it.)
