Don't know where to get one repaired, but there is a great one for sale here for the same price that it would cost to get your own repaired*

Ring JVC and ask them where to get it fixed (I'm assuming warranty has expired). They'll give you the details of the company that fixes their cameras.

JVC IRELAND BRANCH OF JVC (U.K.) LTD.
    JVC HOUSE, Carriglea Industrial Estate,
    Naas Road, Dublin 12

I have a Hitachi DZ-MV550E which has just gone belly up. Unfortunately I can't find a Hitachi dealer in Ireland via the net. Does anybody have a contact number or address of Hitachi Ireland or somebody who repairs camcorders?.

    Cheers.

Hmm, you could try TVAE in Cork. They're not Hitachi service agents but do repair a lot of camcorders. No harm in giving them a ring.

Otherwise, maybe the Camera Centre in Dublin...

Forgot all about this and seen it while browsing, but on the off chance that the lens cap issue happens to anyone else there was a recall by JVC and it was fixed free of charge, just had to drop it out to baldoyle ind est, cheers :)
