Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Retrieve Windows Product Key

    Is it possible to retrieve your windows product key (Any windows version) from a machine that wont boot? Can something like ubcd4win be used and the locate the files on the hd and retrieve the key?

    This is for a machine that wont boot in any mode.

    bootdisk (NT offline perhaps, or standard Windows boot) + some scripting (batch or shell) - the location of the stored product key is different for each OS version.. so you may have to create different or at least cater for each ver...

    For win 95
    copy the c:\windows\system.dat - open in text editor and search for "Product ID"
