techno is pretty much everywhere in dublin, if you cant find any youre either blind or deaf lol

you wont find any trance or hardstyle tho

commerical techno lol. Electric City in Traffic is the best weekly night (its on Thursday, generally 11-2.30 but its 10 - 2.30 this week cos Richie Hawtin and Andy Weatherall are playing amongst others) then theres loads of monthly things in venues like TBMC and Belvedere and Soul 28 beside Liberty hall. A great place to drag friends on Saturdays that has 3 different rooms is Pogo in the Pod complex (Pod main room has Techno/House generallt while the Lobby Bar has all sorts and teh Crawdaddy area has different styles on rotation, check out www.bodytonicmusic.com and register at the forums an ull find the Pogo secxtion with all its news etc.)

id say anybody who likes techno in dublin has been to ec at some point and enjoyed it. the quality of acts there is unbelieveable. i suppose u did mention wanting the red box open soon. its wots wrong with dance music. its purely a business there with no regard for the punter and the amount of scum there the while before it closed was shocking. went on a bit of a rant here about hh not being dead but decided to edit...
turns out that Energy UK have now followed Short Circuit and Tripoli's lead, and stopped putting records out. Nukleuz might as well have stopped as well (in fact, i ****ing wish they had instead of putting out some of the ****e they have recently)

but in all fairness, Hard House and Hardstyle are nothing alike.

Kind of, but I wouldn't consider it to be the same, but similar.

I was just thinking about posting a similar thread.
Coming to Ireland from a one year stay in Holland, I'm quite pampered with Hardcore, Techno, etc.
I was wondering, if there's any Hardcore in IE.
With this thead, I know now that there's some Trance/ Techno in Dublin at least.
Have to check it out sometime... :-) Cool.
