You know the cable that runs from the outlet in the wall to your television? What is that called? Would any one know where to buy it? Would Woodies sell it? And can they cut it to size?
    Cheers for your help!

Coaxial cable? Available in Woodies at 75c a metre i think, yes they will cut it to size (in metres),then you need connectors but I am sure you can buy it all together anywhere that sells TV's or electricals or hardware really.

Spot on Downtime, it's coaxial cable alright. Most electrical shops and even Roches Stores will stock a cable with pre-moulded plugs that's about 1.5m long, but it's easy enough to make up your own with a pair of pliers and Stanley knife.

Just ask for whatever length of TV coaxial cable you require (not to be mixed up with computer Ethernet coaxial cable!!) and two male co-axial plugs.

Note that this is different to the cable used for linking a cable TV input box to a satellite box, which uses silver-plated screw-on connectors and low-loss satellite coaxial cable. In addition, you need to be more careful that there are no stray wires from the braiding, as even a single strand touching the core wire would short out the power supply to the antenna/satellite dish.
