Replacing the Intel 845GL Motherboard in my Presario 6000 PC?

    Hi,

    I have a Compaq Presario 6000 that has decided to give up displaying anything!

    There's just nothing coming from the onboard video adapter and I tried plugging in another video card but still nothing. I've concluded that it's probably something with the systembaord though I've never changed one of these.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction, are there many different sizes and types. How do I choose a compatible model that fits exactly?

    Currently, there's an Intel 845GL system board there with a Celeron 1.7 Ghz processor.

    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,

    what make and model is the motherboard? it should be written somewhere on it
