Guy at work tells me you can only get 3rd party insurance for bikes and mopeds in Ireland. Not fire and theft and certainly no fully comp. Is this the case or is he full of crap?

He's full of crap. Both insurers will do fully comp, but they may require a certain licence/bike/NCB/for you to do a handstand before they'll give it to you.

Afaik, you can't get theft insurance exclusively of fully comp.

The date of birth in your profile says you were born in 1941, I'd say you could afford fully comprehensive easily enough.

You can, but the bike has to be garaged. I had it for a year.

I have tpft from CN. Both insurance companies off full comp and tpo as well, but cn are the only company to offer tpft.
