    Where else could I ask?

To a discussion topic that is NOT called "How much is my computer worth?".
Alternatively, you can create one of these free threads by clicking on this icon: newthread.gif

You can even put a descriptive title like "Looking for a power adapter for my external HDD", so that people who might have an answer for you can see your question quicker, instead of people randomly bumping into your question while surfing in a thread titled "How much is my computer worth?" ;)

    I was being facetious

But if I did start a thread like "Looking for a power adapter for my external HDD"
I wouldn't have got the answer you've just given now would I :D
I found the proper power supply

And deleted the posts, I wouldn't like to........

Not "high-end" hardware but definitely not old. I'd say around 400-450 if it's still under warranty.

Agreed, not for a gamer but for a home user who enjoys music, movies, interweb and all the rest its the business.
Movie convesion and cd production is exceptionally fast too.
Not under warranty but never has given me a problem and I have W RC7100 running atm
and its faster than when I ran vista.
The monitor has 34 months of warranty left which is a bonus.
