Can't edit my post on the first one the motherboard is a Asus P5Q Turbo not Pro and speakers are x530 not 540. There's a difference in price by about £50 i think with motherboard!

I thought the prices would've been the other way round the monitors on the other are 5 to 6 years old and the cpu is cheaper to buy than the E8500. The first one was only £399 brand new 6 months ago from ebay minus the raptor & external hdds. The second was £331 nearly a year ago from ebay as is and not new was really tatty when i got it the white monitors were nicotine stained have cleaned em up now though! I got 2 bargains i've always had luck with ebay there though. Got a laptop not out in Uk at the time he'd won it in a competition £800 in pcworld when it came out got it for £350 brand new sealed!

    My 1st revised:

Will probably upgrade my Apple PowerMac G5 in or around christmas time to a Mac Pro if I can gather enough cash... What do ye think this would be worth......??

    PowerMac G5 Dual 1.8Ghz
    4GB Crucial Ballistic DDR SDRam
Superdrive (DVD, CD reading and writing)
    Firewire Ports 800 and 400
    NVidia GForce 64mb Video Card
    80GB SATA and 160GB SATA (I Think...!!!!)

Why would you replace is, it's a pretty decent spec by all mean. Upgrade the Ram to 4GB and throw in a new battery and you've got a new laptop basically. You'd be mad to sell.

    Worth about €450-500 id say.

    thanks for the advice

ram can only upgrade to 2gigs unfortunately, otherwise i would hang on to it

Was thinking of upgrading my Core 2 Duo E6850 to a quad core Q9550. Any idea how much I'd get for the C2D? Never been overclocked and hasn't had anything stressful running on it since I bought it new 2 years ago.

about 80-110 euro. I dont think you should upgrade though. thats a great processor you got there, if i were you i'd hold onto it for another year and overclock if necessary :D

Yeah I'd like to hang on to it but I'm going to be doing a lot of virtualisation work over the next year or so. I've already ordered another 4gb of RAM to help but the quad is where I reckon I need the boost more.

    Acer 5650

CPU: DualCore Intel Core Duo T2300, 166mhz
    RAM: 1gb DDR-2 533
Graphics: GeForce Go7600 (256 Dedicated ram) Plays Half Life 2
HDD: Upgraded to 320GB 7,200rpm for audio work.
    Optical: DVD-RW
    Wireless
    4 USB ports.
It has a Digital TV thingy on it so you can watch TV. I've forgotten how to use it but I think you just install software from it, like one from powerDVD or something.

Back 2 USB ports a bit dodgy, but they still work.. sometimes the mouse may go on and off and stuff like that

    Thanks!
