    Jakmeehan,

I reckon you'd be doing well to get around 500 (if even).

It was probably quite an expensive machine when you bought it, but the main parts are now obsolete. (CPU & Vid card).

The 8800GTX you couldn't even sell for €100 these days, and the QX6850 - while still being a fairly decent CPU, you'd probably sell for around the same as its been well surpassed with the new quad cores.

The Ageia PhysX card you may as well put in the bin - they're not sold anymore, and are not made anymore.
    Thanks, Gunner.
I had an idea it wasn't worth too much because of that fact. It is, all the same, an extremely powerful machine so I think I will be keeping it after all :-D

I know its a pain in the bum having parts depreciate so quickly these days :(

    That is too true!

Last years top of the line parts will be this years budget option.

These days, as soon as you bring something home from the shop, you can wipe 30-40% off the re-sale value.

Exactly! You just have to be clever - and unless you have money to burn, NEVER buy top of the range components as soon as they come out ;)

I'm thinking of selling and would appreciate some advice from the members of the forum.

    IBM Thinkpad X60 Tablet:

    Standard Specs as follows:

    6363-54U: L2500(1.83GHz), 1GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 12.1in 1024x768 LCD, Intel 950, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, IEEE 1394, Fingerprint reader, 8c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Tablet Edition

The screen is the "multitouch" (Pen and single finger touch) model

    Upgrades/ additional information

Ram has been upgraded to 3gb.

Easyserv warranty until 28 December 2010- that's free parts and labour

Machine comes with an extra, OEM keyboard.

First battery still holds 95% charge- up to six and a half hours use

Machine comes with a second, unused original OEM 8 cell battery with greater than design capacity

Also included: fully legitimate copy of Windows 7 home premium.

    Matching "ideastyle" IBM branded sleeve

Obviously would include power adapter, original packaging etc.

So what do you think it's worth?

I'd imagine around 500 would be reasonable.

    Say ~70 for e7300, ~75 for ram, 100~ for gpu, ~120 for HDD's, ~40 for DVD-RW's, ~70 case

Being AGP you may get 50-60. They're around €90 new just about everywhere.

Ball park, how much is this worth? I was thinking €490, is that unrealistic?

    White MacBook (model 1.1)
    Intel Core Duo 2Ghz
    2Gb Ram (667Mhz)
    60Gb Hard Drive
    Original Box,Charger,Discs etc (OSX Tiger + iLife),Remote
In very good condition. Except: battery doesn't hold charge very long. Works fine on power supply.

Very unrealistic, 200 - 250 is all i would expect.

Win 7 (if with disk etc) would help with the value. €250 would not be unreasonable. Its an old CPU, low end GPU, very small PSU, and small HDD. Win 7 is worth more than any other part of the system TBH.

You have got to be kidding. Macbooks hold their value very well. €400 - 450 would be my estimation.

Nah, you have to be Kidding! Core duo (not core 2 duo), with a dead battery and a tiny 60gb hard disk! No way will that fetch more than 250.

A PC laptop, yeah. A macbook, nope. Worth more than 250.

With the monitor, €450 maybe... I'm assuming the processor is an Intel Q8300, and it has integrated graphics.

If you want to post the service tag number so I can check the definite specs.
