I really hate when people add their software to the PC description and think that they may get more for it. It is illegal to sell Adobe software and MS as well. It is registered to one person and they will not change that.

You may hate it all you want but you're wrong, OEM software (as the operating system) is tied to the computer and can/should be sold with it. Retail software can be sold legally as well, more here:

iv run my specs through a website and I am getting around €1,000. Does this seem about right? I forgot to say that overall disc space is 916GB (C and D drives combined).

No, you'll get a 17.3" laptop with an Ivy Bridge Core i7, 8 GB RAM and a GTX 660M for a grand, new and with 3 yrs warranty. Why would anyone pay that money for a SandyBridge Core i7, 6 GB RAM & GT 550M laptop (which is probably out of warranty)?

700 yoyos is more realistic and you'll still have problems selling.

Is 700 about right yes? Over 50% depreciation in a year? I am not too familiar with pricing laptops so I am trying to get an estimation as I will be trying to sell it

Well, you bought overpriced in the first place. And unfortunately for you, the processor range has been replaced with a newer generation shortly after your purchase.

Unless you need something with a significantly faster graphics card I suggest you hang on to it or you'll loose a lot of money.

Fizman , If you are a gamer and haven't Overclocked your CPU you should do that . To me you have a very good set up and a new GPU would make your PC feel like new again . Maybe an SSD boot drive too .

I'm not a big pc gamer, but I might play around with the overclocking. I forgot to mention my GPU at all actually! It's the XFX GeForce 8800GT 670M 512MB XXX.

    €1150?
on adverts though, it would be worth €2500+ :D:D

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,330 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Na at least 1500 euro I was thinking and adverts 5000

  • Registered Users Posts: 638 ✭✭✭MRTULES

that was top of my head. after checking some prices though, €1500 is probably closer. and adverts, the sky is the limit

It's not even costing €1500 new now. MRTULES is right, €1150 is what it's worth second hand

    Crucial M4 64GB SSD 6,4cm (2,5") 63 euro
    ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Sockel 1155 ATX 115 euro
Corsair Vengeance C70 case 118 euro
Corsair CMPSU-750HX Professional Series 750W Power Supply (conservative 100euro)
Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 XMS3 8GB Two Memory Module Kit 38 euro
XSPC Raystorm 750 EX240 WaterCooling Kit : EX Series Kit 183 euro
    2x Corsair AF 120 fans 20 euro
    2x Corsair S 120 fans 21 euro

not worth 1500 new? are you joking me

Infact using the online cheap german sites, I get a price of 1673 euro brand new for all my stuff

I also forgot to include the best sound on the market in my build the
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium HD 138 euro new

Price gone up to 1811 thats what it cost new

So including my time and effort to get build in and then the biggest pain in the hole of watercooling it, asking 1500 euro is not the biggest surprise
Plus majority of the components are well in warranty like GPU etc. I bought most of them in August
