I noticed a rattling hum from my mothers '99 Punto when i took it away for the week on sunday, and got someone i know to have a look at it and confirmed my suspicion that it was something to do with the exhaust. So yesterday morning, i took it to a garage (reputable and recommended) to have a look at it, and he had one…

I have a 98 Punto and had the same problem fixed a couple of weeks ago. Apparently it is a common problem for Puntos. Cost me €130 for the exhaust plus labour
