    any ideas for stickies?

the only ones I can think of

are the non-religious education/marriage/funeral type info which we can mostly dig out of old threads in the other forums.

    Rules. Be nice?

doesn't a new forum usually get a new mod, possibly one who hasn't modded before ie, our namesake and crusader?

Sticky should be put up because people are going to call belief systems plain ridiculous and iit has already happened blatantly.
Apart from tolerence of other belief it should be pretty much the same as other stikies like chritianity and the rest.

I was of the same opinion, maybe we need to start a poll to get our illustrious leader up there in lights:)

I'm sure that if the need arises that these mythical 'administrators' you people seem to believe in will intervene and provide for us.

Tolerance of other religions plus the usual stuff should do the charter.

    Forum Rules

    • Everyone is free to believe whatever they like
    • Everyone is free to post those beliefs as long as they respect the beliefs of others
    • If a thread starter requests that people don't question their beliefs, please respect that request
    • If you feel the need to question a belief system (as opposed to enquiring about a belief) please start a new thread to do it in instead of hijacking a thread where a belief is already being discussed. There are plenty of threads to go around.
    • If a thread starts to stray off-topic please consider creating a new thread and providing link to it or asking a moderator to branch it
    • This forum belongs to all of us, it is as much everyone's responsibility to look after it by reporting bad posts as it is the moderators to remove them
    • Standard Boards rules apply regarding spam, trolling, illegalities etc

No proselytising. Anyone trying to convert anyone to anything will be immediately banned.

Respect for other people's beliefs and religion is expected at all times, you can disagree with someone or probe into their beliefs without being aggressive or belittling. Such behavior will not be tolerated and may result in being banned.

although most of it doens't seem relevant. I'd only keep

damn No search I need to search within categories to find the good stuff from old threads :/

These seem to be the only sites inrelation to practicalies of an athiest life in Ireland

    http://www.educatetogether.ie/
    http://www.irish-humanists.org/

The Humanists Assoc refers to "Ceremonies", unfortunately their guide THE HUMANIST PHILOSOPHY - With an Irish Guide to Non-Religious Ceremonies cost 15e (I guess they have to make money somehow) although one maybe be able to find that info in their newsletters.

    This http://www.humanism.org.uk/site/cms/contentChapterView.asp?chapter=310
give a rough description of what a Birth/Joining?/Funeral would be like but I love to get tight descritption of how you would organise one in Ireland.

It seems to me they(the IHA) are the only ones actively campaigning although LGBT heads may also be campaigning for similar civic entitlements for different reasons.
